I'm having such a hard time not hating on this game... coming over straight from finishing SOC, i'm finding CS to be a complete letdown. It's a total shit show. I'm going to stick it out for a bit, & if it doesn't get much better I might just skip it 😅. Right out the gate the experience is trashy... Shotgun ads is broken & it has zero recoil animation, can't ads at all with side arms, there's no weapon animations while sprinting, indicators for radiation & bleeding are practically unnoticable. Human enemies tank rounds like crazy & have x-ray vision through many world objects. SOC starts out tough if you go in blind, but it's not unfair. It's all part of your intro to the zone & the game's mechanics. It feels a lot more organic & fair. I died plenty in SOC, but there were few instances where I was left mouth agape at how BS the game was. Literally everything that made SOC feel good is gone... & has been replaced with jank. 😢 I can't imagine that this was what the devs intended. I have to believe that either the devs got way too ambitious & had to recover from development hell in order to produce something that worked, or their deadline was totally unreasonable... I'm really hoping this gets better, lol. SOC was fine for me with no mods, and I'm hoping that can be the case for CS too.
